Time Management

Time is your most valuable commodity.

It is imperative that you, and everyone in your organization, learn techniques to maximize the use of time. Effective time management not only increases productivity, it reduces stress and enhances company morale. An interesting aspect of time management consulting is the minimal time required to teach it. Our clients are often surprised at how quickly they can learn to break old habits and implement new strategies.

Our approach is to help our clients identify the obstacles that limit their ability to manage time. While there are many, common obstacles include failure to prioritize, poor delegation skills, and failure to control distractions. After identifying the obstacles, we offer techniques to save minutes, and in some cases, even hours per day. For a sample of some of our time management tips, please check out our time management article in the Management Articles section of our web site. The article originally appeared in the journal of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.

Some time management techniques involve delegation. As part of our consulting, we teach our clients delegation systems. We also support the training with forms that are easy to use. These forms are available for your review in the Management Tools section of our web site.

Consultations usually consist of only a few hours and are conducted in 15-minute sessions over a period of several months. This approach
gives our clients an opportunity to experiment with the techniques.
In each follow-up meeting, we review results and offer additional
solutions. For more information about this approach, please see the Executive Coaching information in the Management Services section of our web site.
