Marty provides consulting in leadership, mentoring, rainmaking, team building and healing dysfunction in the workplace. He holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology.
In addition to his consulting with Kohn Communications, he has been in private practice in Beverly Hills and Encino, California as a licensed psychotherapist.
Over the years, he has had extensive expertise in coaching professionals, executives and entrepeneurs in all size businesses. He also counsels in issues relating to family-owned businesses.
Marty has extensive organizational and clinical experience from his background as Executive Director of the Maple Center, the Beverly Hills community mental health center. Throughout his 15 year tenure as its Executive Director, he interfaced with civic and community leaders and was the primary liaison between the Center and the Beverly Hills Unified School District. When he left the Maple Center, Marty was the first Director of the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the organization started by Elizabeth Glaser that has changed the course of AIDS research and fundraising for children and their families.
Marty was the principal founder and current Executive Director of the Water Buffalo Club, a nonprofit organization whose primary function is to raise and distribute money and facilitate fun- filled field trips to disadvantaged inner city youth. The WBC is celebrating its 19th year of service to the Los Angeles area.
Marty has been a longtime consultant to both the entertainment field and the field of education. Over the past 25 years, he has worked on the popular shows "Beverly Hills 90210" and "General Hospital". He has been an instructor of counselor training at UCLA Extension and a School Counselor at various private schools on the Westside of L.A. and the San Fernando Valley. In the late '90's, Marty developed and facilitated the WISH Project (A World In Search of Harmony) for the Beverly Hills Unified School District to help address many of the issues created by a changing diverse culture in the community.
