The unique service of Kohn Communications is to help our clients utilize their own existing internal resources as much as possible – to keep costs under control.
Our approach is to act as a public relations facilitator, guiding our clients to make sure their public relations effort is powerful, cost effective and that it stays on track. We help our clients identify their goals and strategies. We help them identify the systems and required resources. Then, we oversee the program to make sure all of the resources work efficiently. Using this approach, our total involvement in a project may only require one hour per month. We bill our facilitation services hourly and we do not require a minimum. We do not require a long-term commitment or monthly retainer.
Of course, we also provide a full range of support services to complement the internal resources of our clients. For example, our clients can do their own research regarding potential publications or public speaking opportunities, or we can do it on their behalf. The same is true for pitching articles or speaking opportunities. These services are also billed hourly.
Finally, we provide our clients with a report that provides a detailed description of our efforts. When we do research or outreach, we document all calls made and the status of each. So, at any time, our clients can do their own follow-up should they choose to do so.
