In-House Training Consulting
An in-house training program or “In-house university” provides many benefits to the firm and its clients. It demonstrates to clients that your firm has mechanisms in place to keep associates and partners up-to-date on the latest legal trends. It sends a message that associates are not billing for learning “on the job.” A formal training program takes advantage of the expertise of partners within the firm who are willing to teach. It avoids the expense of outside continuing education courses and adds credibility when courses taught in-house are accredited. An in-house university provides a mechanism for the firm to define educational standards for associates to best serve client needs and provide exceptional client service. For associates, an in-house training program defines what is expected of them and supports them in being successful. It is a beneficial recruiting tool.
Many firms’ training programs are run by Training Partners or Training Committee members who have a full book of business.
